Homework

Each half term, the children will receive a homework overview sheet which will contain general information about weekly spellings, times table work and reading that we expect each child to do. As well as this we have included six longer activities. Each week we would like the children to choose and complete one of these activities. Additionally, the children will receive weekly spellings for the children to learn.

READING - We expect pupils in Year 4 to read at least 3 times a week.

TIMES TABLES - As you may already be aware, by the end of Year 4 all children are expected to know all of their times tables as well as the corresponding division facts. We would therefore like your child to begin learning any of those they are less confident with. A useful way to record is:
1 x 3 = 3    3 ÷ 3 = 1
2 x 3 = 6   6 ÷ 3 = 2
